Be on the cutting edge of Cleantech PR. Weber Shandwick, a leading international PR firm, is looking for a Seattle-based mid-level PR professional who is looking to work in the fast-growing Cleantech practice.

The candidate will have strong media relations skills (print, online and broadcast), and be able to look at client business strategy and general industry trends to identify and execute PR programs. The position will involve working across multiple industries, multiple time zones and multiple accounts, so focus and organization are highly valued. Ability to manage teams, strong writing and successful top-tier media pitching experience are requirements. Minimum 4-6 years of agency experience.
Specific duties include leading and handling day-to-day activities for accounts, such as:
* Manage all aspects of media relations ranging from identifying proactive opportunities, partnering with team leads to build out strategic approach for pitching stories and product news, managing and coordinating interviews with press (write briefings, host and recap meetings, track coverage)
* Execute and manage product reviews program with technology trade and small business publications; this includes sending product for review, setting reviews criteria, managing the development of a reviewers' guide, and working with clients to provide product support to ensure the best product reviews experience possible
* Draft, coordinate and implement plans and materials for product launches, events and media tours with support from team members
* Interact with clients on a daily basis and provide counsel
* Develop briefing books in support of press and analyst tours, briefings, events and consultations
* Write and effectively project manage press release and other press material development
* Provide timely support for reactive press and analyst requests
* Plan, collaborate with clients and execute media tours and event participation
Qualifications:
* Experience in the area of Cleantech and sustainability preferable.
* Candidates with experience working with the vertical industry trade press - including energy, transportation, building - are preferred, but not required.
* A strong team player who enjoys collaborating with colleagues and working together to successfully achieve results for the clients and agency.
* Equipped with strong negotiation, decision making and judgment skills; have the ability to make well-informed decisions that meet team, agency and client objectives.
* Resourceful, able to identify imaginative solutions to complex problems; takes calculated risks and gets results.
* Provide PR counsel based on solid understanding of the business environment; identify information critical to long-term planning.
* Able to meet the tactical needs of the business through reporting and timesheet completion.
