Description
CFI seeks to hire seasonal Crew Leaders and Site Supervisors to implement trail restoration and construction projects and educational programs on several Colorado Fourteeners. Two trail crews will be hired to work on the following peaks: Quandary Peak, Mt. Bierstadt, Capitol Peak, Mt. Sneffels, and Tabeguache Mountain. Each crew will consist of eight members: two Site Supervisors, two Assistant Supervisors, and four Crew Leaders. Each crew will have two staff members who specialize in environmental education and two staff members who specialize in alpine restoration techniques. All crew members will receive appropriate training. The field season begins May 27, 2002 and ends September 16 (students returning to college prior to the end of the season may be considered). Site Supervisors begin work on May 13 and Assistant Supervisors will begin work on May 20. The work weeks will vary considerably, although crews will work an average of eight days in a row. Crews will work about half of the weekends during the field season in order to lead volunteer projects.
