National Resource Management, Inc. designs, builds and installs energy conservation controls for commercial refrigeration equipment. Since 1994, over 8,000 convenience, liquor, and grocery stores have purchased the NRM CoolTrol System and related products. Our client list also includes the largest electric utilities and energy conservation programs throughout the US, along with nationally recognized retail chains.
Position Overview:
Because of the national energy shortage and strong customer base, we are looking for sales representatives to sell our products in Northern California, specifically Salinas Valley and the Central Coast. A major portion of the project costs are subsidized with incentives from utility companies and 3rd party programs.
Job Summary: Generate new business in assigned territory. Employee will be supported by California office located in Union City.
Responsibilities:
- Cold-call and visit referred prospective buyers with walk-in and freestanding coolers and freezers. Potential customers include convenience stores, liquor stores, food markets, food distributors and produce and meat wholesalers.
- Act as a consultant to assist prospects with understanding energy savings potential within their refrigeration.
- Audit potential customer's refrigeration equipment for creation of proposal by corporate management.
- Clearly explain features and benefits of the CoolTrol System and related products to potential customers.
- Present proposal to customer and close sale.
- Maintain relationship with customers through post installation to leverage other sales and referrals.
Qualifications:
Skills Required:
- Ability to work independently and out of home
- General computer skills
- Self starter and team player
- College degree preferred
- Prior sales experience and track record
- Experience in refrigeration, controls or energy conservation measures, preferred

Compensation: Base Salary, commission and car allowance. Benefits include health care, dental, 401K/Profit Sharing Plan.
