Position Overview

The Inside Sales Representative will drive revenue by closing company-generated leads, signifying their interest in going solar. Your role will be to close at least 40% of these customers. Customers will have come through a specific funnel geared toward a cash/finance, PPA, or DIY sale, and reps should be well-versed in communicating the benefits of each deal type in order to close these customers. Closers will be compensated with a base + commission structure to be discussed during the interview process. A successful candidate will have experience as a top solar salesperson and will be self-motivated to close deals and serve customers.


  • Qualify new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound calls, emails, and text messaging
  • Educate potential customers on the benefits of solar energy solutions
  • Conduct virtual and phone consultations to understand customers' energy consumption patterns and provide tailored solutions
  • Prepare and present quotes, proposals, and contracts to prospective customers
  • Provide technical information about solar power, solar systems, equipment, and services to potential customers
  • Follow up with leads to ensure timely progression through the sales pipeline
  • Maintain accurate records of interactions with leads and customers in the CRM
  • Provide excellent customer service and support throughout the sales process


  • Proven experience in hitting or exceeding sales targets in an inside or outside sales position, specifically in the solar industry
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and effectively over the phone and by email
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport and establish trust with customers
  • Self-motivated and target-driven with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales quotas
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and responsibilities
