LDK Solar (NYSE: LDK, www.ldksolar.com), PV Module Division, one of the world's leading vertically-integrated suppliers of PV modules and solar components, is seeking a strong sales individual to develop and manage EPC, Developer, Utility and Distribution accounts within various regions of the USA selling LDK Solar photovoltaic modules.

Position Overview:

The Sales Manager (SM) will be results oriented, self-driven, and have the ability to function within a fast-paced, high-energy environment.  The sales manager will work in the LDK Solar Tech USA organization, reporting to the General Manager (GM).  Overall responsibilities include sales and territory management.  The selected individual will be responsible for generating PV module sales, managing relationships with EPC's, developers and utilities and creating and executing a sales plan to generate an opportunity pipeline and meet sales targets.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage and implement overall sales plan for assigned region and or/customers
  • Manage and increase sales with existing customers
  • Identify and establish new customers
  • Attend and support trade shows and conferences
  • Gather and report on competitive and market intelligence
  • Prospect and qualify leads
  • Attend networking events for sales opportunities and relationship building
  • Work with individuals within various functional areas and organizational levels, both within the US and worldwide, to capture sales
  • Work closely with sales management to develop and execute sales and channel strategies, objectives and tactics to achieve sales goals.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree required; graduate and or technical degree a plus
  • 10 years of sales experience with 3 to 5 years of solar experience preferred
  • Strong sales skills and ability to work with customers
  • Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent organizational skills Experience working in a multi-national environment preferred
  • Strong computer, software and CRM skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint skills and Salesforce.com
  • In-depth knowledge of Photovoltaic (PV) industry, US market in particular
  • Experience in multimillion dollar negotiation and the demonstrated ability to convert opportunities to sales
  • Experience in technical sales
  • Must be willing to travel as required: Up to 40%

Location:  Northern California, Sunnyvale, CA area preferred
