Position Overview:

EnerNOC, the leader in energy management, is looking for a talented and driven Sales Engineer to join a small, dedicated sales team focused on launching a powerful new software solution for Enterprise Energy Management. This is an ideal position for a technical sales professional to help sell and refine our new EnergySMART  solution, and enjoy the thrill of solving unmet customer needs with new technology. Responsibilities:

As a Sales Engineer, based in Boston, your primary responsibility will be to support a robust pipeline of nationwide opportunities for EnerNOC's EnergySMART solution; comprised of the up-front deployment of meters across a portfolio of facilities, followed by ongoing monitoring services (presenting all meter data back to the customer through graphical reports and interactive dashboards).

As a highly knowledgeable and technical resource, you will be expected to work closely with Business Development Managers on all product-related issues associated with a given opportunity. This will include: gaining a detailed understanding of the prospect's infrastructure; making recommendations regarding meter deployment strategy; performing product demonstrations; developing proposals; crafting pricing summaries and performing margin analysis; and working a wide range of technical and other issues through interactions with home office personnel.  

Qualifications: 

Your understanding of building systems and metering; your ability to explain complex technical issues to a non-technical audience; and your ability to quickly establish credibility with energy managers, facility managers, and upper management will all be key to your success.  An engineering degree and/or certification in energy management (CEM) is a plus; excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
