SPG Solar, Inc. is the most experienced Solar Photovoltaic installer in the US, with over 900 residential installations Northern California as well as some the largest commercial installations in the state.

We are rapidly expanding our business and seeking strong sales candidates for Sales / Energy Consultant positions in our Oceanside / San Diego regional office.

Position Overview:

Ideal candidates will be self-motivated, personable and professional, with excellent communication skills, strong sales skills and technical aptitude, and a strong desire to succeed in a business that is literally changing the world.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years sales experience (preferably in technical fields) or comparable work experience in Environmental Science / Energy / Eco-industry fields or Construction Fields.  
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite  
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills  
  • Ability to evaluate, measure, and inspect customer sites that may include climbing onto roofs and evaluating from heights exceeding 20 feet.  
  • Ambition, competitiveness and technical aptitude  
  • Four year college degree  
  • Willingness to learn and sell with a consultative approach.

Responsibilities:

  • Learn the solar industry, including technology, costs and savings opportunities, California rebate programs in order to effectively respond to customer inquiries  
  • Qualify, Engage and Manage new leads  
  • Initiate sales correspondence and consultative sales process,  
  • Schedule and perform on-site solar evaluations for homes and businesses, educating prospective clients on solar opportunity and SPG services.  
  • Closing sales and project advancement - assembling project folders and detailed administrative functions required for sales  
  • Maintaining client contact through sales and build process as needed.  
  • Meet monthly sales quotas
