Ecoist is a fresh, fast-growing company that designs fashion accessories for the eco-minded individual. The company's objective is to merge design with social and environmental consciousness to provide stylish, functional, and durable products that people will love to own. All products are made from recycled, organic, or earth-friendly materials, and are manufactured through a network of fair trade partnerships around the world.
Ecoist is mostly known for its line of handbags made from recycled candy wrappers, food packages, and soda labels and its growing list of partners such as Coca-Cola, AVEDA Cliff Bar, among others. However, over the past few years, Ecoist has been partnering with eco-minded designers to market new products made from recycled movie billboards, recycled soda-can pull-tabs, as well as organic fabrics.
Position Overview:
Ecoist is looking for an energetic and highly-motivated salesperson to sell our unique handbag line to boutiques, gift stores, and department stores, primarily in the United States.
Responsibilities:
The position will involve the following responsibilities related to our wholesale business:
- Participate in local, national, and international trade shows.
- Generate new accounts with boutiques, lifestyle stores, department stores, gift shops, and museum stores.
- Follow-up on new leads and customers
- Manage existing clients/customer relationships
- Develop weekly sales/lead reports
- Develop sales forecasts and budgets
- Collaborate with marketing team to develop creative and innovative selling methods
- Develop sales strategies for new products
Qualifications:
- 3 - 4 years of sales experience in the Fashion Industry or Gift Markets
- At least 2 years experience selling to retailers at Fashion Industry or Gift trade shows
- Excellent communication, organizational, computer skills and the ability to multitask and work independently
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively
- Bachelors degree
- Proficient skills in MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
- Excellent verbal and written English skills
- Multilingual - English ( Spanish a plus)
