Sales Consultant

We are an energy optimization company that specializes in solar installations, energy efficiency consulting and LEED Certification. Our mission is to meet the energy needs of current and future generations in the most sustainable and financially feasible way.

We are based in Orange County and service all of Southern California.

As our company is expanding, we are looking for experienced and motivated sales consultants who are passionate about sustainability as well as bringing significant value to their clients.

Our target market is small to mid size commercial, retail, industrial and institutional building owners, who also occupy these spaces. Offices and warehouses are our primary focus.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for sales of our services (solar power systems, energy efficiency consulting, LEED certification) to our target market. 
• Meet individual sales targets: Generate, manage, follow up on qualified leads
• Perform site visits and collect data for project feasibility
• Prepare proposals and present to prospective clients
• Communicate effectively in person, by phone and in writing with clients as appropriate.
• Represent the company in a professional manner in all aspects of the business
• Constantly update personal knowledge base regarding products, utility rates, incentives and industry trends
• Participate in marketing and outreach projects through community based networking
• Work with administrative, design and installation staff for smooth, timely work flow
• Perform assigned tasks willingly and timely
• Fulfill all company required reporting on sales activity

Qualifications: 

• College graduate, preferably with a degree on business, marketing, finance or environmental science.
• At least 4+ years experience with proven expertise in consultative sales and customer service, preferably in commercial real estate, commercial property management, solar industry, energy efficiency and/or LEED services
• Strong knowledge and interest in sustainable building practices such as energy efficiency and LEED categories. LEED GA or AP degree is desirable.
• Strong knowledge and interest in renewable energies
• Knowledge on financial analysis or basics of finance is highly desirable
• Strong knowledge in Excel, Power Point and Word
• A current valid driver's license with a clean driving record 
• A personable character with strong closing skills and a persuasive personality
• Must possess an excellent sales and ‘can do' attitude with a strong desire to succeed in a sales environment that is commission and incentive driven.
• Must have a reliable vehicle. Laptop is desirable.
