Position Overview:

This position teaches prospects about renewable energy, Green Mountain's mission and products, and how they can help to Change the Way Power is Made. This position is flexible, 15-35 hours per week. Locations are Westchester, Queens, The Bronx, Manhattan, Staten Island, Brooklyn, Orange and Rockland, NY.

Responsibilities:

• Arrive at selling locations as scheduled, wearing appropriate branded shirt, badge, and bringing sales materials (all provided).
• Set up inside or outside a retail store or at an event for 4 to 6 hours each day scheduled to work and sign people up for clean electricity. 
• Accurately and positively inform prospects about the opportunity to choose Pollution-Free Electricity through their Con Edison electric bill.
• Sign-up prospects who show interest in Green Mountain Energy® electricity. 

Qualifications: 

• We seek professional, customer-focused candidates. 
• Sincere desire to help Change the Way Power is Made. 
• Sales and customer service experience preferred. 
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to overcome objections.
• Must be available to work evenings and/or weekends.
• We are seeking local candidates with a stable work history and a great attitude!
