Miasol has a few select openings for experienced operations and engineering professionals in our new 80,000 square foot production facility in Santa Clara, CA. Successful candidates will have demonstrated the ability to perform in a fast paced, and high growth environment.
Position Overview
The Director of Roll Coater is directly responsible for actively engaging Miasol's engineering disciplines, build team and other resources to successfully and effectively develop and construct Roll Coater Systems. These systems must be capable of implementing the process definition and requirements for reliably producing high volume/ yield solar cells. Additionally, the successful candidate must be able to develop methodologies for overcoming challenges associated with utilizing a remote China office and other resource limitations
Position Responsibilities:
* Design robust equipment to meet 85% utilization for modular high volume production at low equipment cost
* Deliver engineering design, documentation and functional roll coater systems with demonstrated performance of the process and the completed engineering content (design documentation, BOM and maintenance documentation and training)
* Gather information from various departments and act as a liaison between these departments to determine, coordinate, and prioritize activities to meet company goals * Absorb and evaluate information from multi-disciplined staff to make key technical decisions.
* Organize, document, and track design and build activities both for reporting to senior management and holding the responsible parties accountable to measurable goals.
* Facilitate the removal of any hindrance to success
* Interface and dotted line manager of the Shangai engineering team in support of the Roll Coater effort
* Build, develop and manage the successful performance of a team
Educational Requirements/Qualifications: BS, MS preferred; 10+ years experience.
