Position Overview:

Twig, a locally owned eco-friendly specialty shop in Chapel Hill, is currently seeking candidates for a Full Time Retail Management position.

Responsibilities:

• Providing superior customer service.
• Motivating staff and setting store priorities and goals.
• Inventory control and management.
• Visual merchandising.
• Assisting in store product selection and placing orders.
• Engaging in outreach initiatives designed to build community and our customer base.
• Participate in creating an exciting and informative place to shop.

Qualifications:

• Supervisory or managerial experience.
• Retail sales experience.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Strong work ethic.
• Being dependable and having flexibility in scheduling.
• A task oriented self starter with good organizational skills.
• Comfort in working with a Point of Sale system.
• An interest in the "green" movement.
• Awareness of consumer tastes and trends.
• A desire to create beauty and order.
• Having a positive and outgoing disposition.

Desired Skills or Experience:

• Knowledge of business systems.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks.
• Visual and Writing creative skills.
• Above average computer skills.
• Comfort with information technologies.
• Experience in Web Site Design or Maintenance.
• Web sales experience.

Compensation:  Wage range $11 to $14 per hour plus other benefits and incentive pay.
