Description
Fred Phillips Consulting (FPC) is looking for a restoration program manager in our Yuma, AZ office. FPC specializes in award winning design including ecological restoration, parks, trails, wetland delineation and environmental monitoring and compliance.
Responsibilities:
This position will include (but not be limited to) the following duties:
- Project management of Yuma East Wetlands Projects
- Perform/Oversee all plant monitoring and plant monitoring reports on revegetation restoration projects within the YEW and YWW projects.
- Do daily/weekly construction observation and compliance reporting on over 300 acres of channel/wetland restoration and riparian restoration
- Coordinate project activities with project landowners/stakeholders including the Quechan Indian Nation, City of Yuma, Private landowners and federal and state agencies
- Assistance with Grant development and management including writing restoration grants, reviewing grant budgets, processing invoices and developing grants reports
- Assisting with soil and vegetation surveys
- Personnel management of a YEW project intern, assistant project manager and 5 person maintenance crew
- Assisting with biological surveys (birds, bugs, mammals)
- Assisting the YCNHA staff with tours and delegated tasks.
- Oversight on maintenance and upkeep of FPC vehicles and equipment in Yuma

Qualifications:
Must have a degree in Landscape Architecture, Ecological Restoration, Environmental Engineering, wildlife biology or similar. Must have strong graphic and writing skills and be able to work independently in a challenging work environment. Must have skills in Arc GIS, and ADOBE CS and Microsoft office. Surfer 7 experience preferred. Must have own reliable transportation and be willing to travel. Must be able to work in challenging field conditions (extreme heat in summer), some outdoor guiding/field experience preferred.
Minimum 2 years commitment.
