Position Overview:

Under the general direction of the Regional Plan Update Director, the Associate II/Senior Resource Integration Specialist acts as a knowledge specialist and provides information and recommendations regarding natural resource best management practices to other Agency teams. The Resource Integration Specialist supports the Measurement Branch with the development and implementation of tools and processes needed to collect, measure, evaluate and report on a range of environmental conditions and regional resource Integration values, and collect, report, and assist in the integration of scientific information into Agency and Tahoe Region decision-making.

Responsibilities: 

The incumbent may assist in reporting on threshold attainment status annually and at other intervals.  The position responsibility may also include working as part of a development or other project team to help design practical, viable environmental improvements as part of project implementation. The Associate II/Senior Resource Integrations Specialist provides support to the Regional Plan Update Team to integrate viable, practical technical proposals and solutions, including best management practices and current scientific information into policies and implementation strategies of the Regional Plan.  

The position will also be responsible for successfully and effectively coordinating with partner agency Resource Integration Specialists, a broad spectrum of outside interest groups, and the general public to inform policy development and resolve complex cross-cutting technical and policy issues. 

Qualifications: 

The incumbent must have superlative interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills, and will work always in a cross-functional team setting to find multi-disciplinary integrated solutions to projection decisions.
