Clean Currents is a clean electricity supplier based in Rockville, Maryland. We are a sustainable energy business committed to promoting positive environmental solutions and operating our business in a way that helps the planet.
Position Overview:
We're looking for an energetic, articulate, smart communicator with B to C sales experience to sell clean energy products to homeowners in the DC and Maryland market. You don't need to know the energy industry, but you must be willing to learn. A passion for clean energy is a big plus. Get in on the ground floor of a fast growing company!
Responsibilities:
Research and compile lists of likely prospects in an assigned territory. Work with prospects to identify their electricity costs, determine the terms they want, and their energy needs. Coordinate efforts with other members of the residential team. Participate in Clean Currents sales calls and training sessions.
Qualifications:
- Must have some direct sales experience with proven results or equivalent experience
- Articulate and a fabulous communicator
- Energetic with a great attitude
- Self starter willing to do the hard work it takes to develop a large lead pipeline
- Excellent references (at least 2)
- Passion for the environment a plus!
Compensation: A base salary of $30,000-$35,000 a year plus commissions on sales. Expected first year compensation between $45,000 and $60,0000.
