Description

The Consortium for Energy Efficiency (CEE) is seeking an enthusiastic individual to support the development of emerging energy-efficiency initiatives for residential buildings and to maintain existing residential program efforts.

As part of a residential program team that includes two program managers, the individual will be responsible for actively supporting committees of energy-efficiency program administrators from across the country. These committees are working to identify innovative approaches for promoting high-efficiency residential products and improving the energy performance of residential buildings. An initial focus of the program associate will be in residential lighting and natural gas efficiency.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication (oral and written) and research skills as well as possess an understanding of the consensus-building process.

The candidate should also have a demonstrated interest in:

1) new technologies and how they influence energy use in residential buildings
2) marketing strategies for energy-efficient products and services, especially as they pertain to leveraging the ENERGY STAR brand
3) industries that address residential products and services, such as new home construction and home renovation.

The candidate will provide support for regular committee meetings of utility, government, advocate, and other stakeholder groups to develop, discuss, and evaluate energy-efficiency program opportunities. These support activities may include convening meetings and conference calls, generating meeting notes, conducting research, writing white papers, making presentations, polling CEE members on various issues, and facilitating meetings.

There are specific application materials which must be submitted. For company information and application requirements, visit Job Opportunities at www.cee1.org. No phone calls. Application deadline is January 21, 2006.
