Position Overview:
We are currently seeking an outstanding individual who can join our consulting team and manage regional utility-sponsored energy efficiency programs. The individual will immediately provide strategic direction and oversight to client initiatives that increase the market penetration of energy-efficient and renewable energy technologies in the residential sectors.
Responsibilities:
The individual will work closely with a regulated utility to design and facilitate the implementation of a set of residential and commercial energy efficiency programs. Daily responsibilities include:
- Working across cross-functional teams including corporate communications, customer service, accounting and energy services program implementation to successfully design residential energy efficiency programs, "go-to-market" strategies and facilitate the implementation through sales channels.
- Using project management principals to complete work on-time and cost-effectively deliver high-quality products and services to clients.
- Managing program implementers and service providers to make certain they achieve annual energy efficiency goals and performance targets.
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with key electric utilities, stakeholders, market allies, and service providers.
- Preparing program status reports to accurately monitor progress towards clients' goals and report annual achievements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree (Master's preferred) marketing, business, environmental science or engineering and 3 - 5 years related experience. HERS or BPI certification; or, ability and strong interest to obtain.
- Program management including budgeting, work plan development and implementation, and quality improvement.
- Understanding of energy efficiency technologies for residential new construction and existing home markets.
- Analytical skills specifically in energy efficiency and finance (e.g., calculating payback for customers, etc.)
- Detail orientated and dedicated to delivering high quality work.
- Entrepreneurial drive and strong interest in energy efficiency and sustainability.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with new product launch and marketing / sales strategies desired.
