Position Overview: 

Climate Lab seeks interns to join our team of content writers and editors. Ideal candidates will have strong research and writing skills, a passion for finding solutions to climate change, and enjoy working in a startup environment. As we are a small organization, interns are given important responsibilities and are encouraged to take initiative.

Interns research and write about climate change-related issues, adapt materials from partner organizations, maintain the website, and help develop and execute our content development strategy. Interns will have a chance to attend meetings and events, and carry out special projects and assignments.

Internships may be either full- or part-time and generally last between 10 and 12 weeks. The internships are appropriate for undergraduates, graduate students, and individuals looking to start a career working in research or advocacy on climate change issues. 

Responsibilities:

  • Research, write and edit articles about climate change for Climate Lab’s climate change wiki. Work with contributors and interns on ongoing content projects.
  • Assist identifying and prioritizing article topics and content projects for development.
  • Adapt materials from partner organizations and other content sources.
  • Assist maintenance of the website and provide support to users.
  • Attend meetings and carry out special projects and assignments.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent research and writing skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer proficiency and experience with online research tools.
  • Ability to work effectively in a startup environment and balance multiple priorities.
  • Self-starter. Ability to work independently, with supervision and as part of a team.  

Compensation: Internships are unpaid.
