As sustainability becomes more important to companies and organizations, PRé Consultants is facing increasing demands for our services globally and specifically in North America. Responding to this trend, we have recently launched PRé North America in the US. We seek to grow this team with a highly motivated and dynamic fulltime Research Analyst.

PRé North America (PRé NA) works closely with PRé Consultants in the Netherlands to identify and implement the metrics for the sustainability strategy of companies and organizations. These metrics provide decision makers with the information to make insightful, informed decisions. PRé Consultants works for a wide range of clients including Fortune 500 companies and also works closely with non-governmental organizations.

PRé Consultants is the developer and reseller of the world's most widely used LCA software, SimaPro. PRé NA is the US consulting arm of PRé Consultants and is not a reseller or developer of SimaPro, though we utilize the software in client engagements.

Position Overview:

As a Research Analyst you will be asked to contribute to all aspects of client offerings and internal operations.

Responsibilities:

You will:

  • Help organizations become more knowledgeable by conducting workshops to help clients understand the sustainability landscape & trends
  • Provide organizations with information for better decision making by data-modeling, data collection and data-analysis
  • Create value by implementing centers of expertise in the client's organization
  • Contribute to client engagements that focus on product and supply chain sustainability, including Life Cycle Assessment, metric and target setting, and corporate sustainability strategy
  • Develop proficiency in reviewing and manipulating large amounts of environmental data using spreadsheet and database applications
  • Assist in developing research and undertaking analysis across a range of LCA subjects
  • Participate in the development of proposals and other marketing materials
  • Author technical project deliverables and presentations
  • Work effectively in a team and independently as required, and
  • Travel as deemed appropriate by senior managers of the firm.

Qualifications:

You are:

  • Results-oriented individual who wants to make a difference; who takes initiative, a self-starter who makes things happen, accepts accountability and has a sense of urgency
  • Positive and personable with a can-do attitude
  • A self-starter and someone who wants to make a difference
  • Informed of the developments in the market and in your field
  • Methodical and well-grounded in statistics; an analytical thinker.

You have the desire to evaluate sustainability issues from a business point of view.

We ask:

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental studies, science, engineering or policy
  • 1 to 3 years work experience in energy, life cycle, sustainability or related topics
  • Familiarity with LCA software and data processing
  • Strong writing, analytical and presentation skills
  • US Citizenship or holder of a valid Green Card.
