Position Overview:
This position will be responsible for managing ERICO's current customers and business development of the Renewable Energy Market (primarily wind and solar) in North America. The position will be responsible for driving sales and market share growth within the applicable markets by working closely with the Regional Sales Management for ERICO, the Worldwide Manager for Renewable Energy, and members of the Product Management and Product Development Teams to define and implement strategies to grow ERICO sales in this market.
Responsibilities:
More specifically:
- Determine target Renewable Energy accounts through research, market analysis and visits to expand ERICO's presence in the Renewable Energy Market
- Sales: Protect and expand existing accounts by developing key relationships with existing customers and working to specify ERICO products for next generation customer applications
- Sales: Provide value-based selling presentations to key target customers and spec writers, and develop relationships with key purchasing and engineering personnel to drive sales growth
- Recommend ERICO's participation in, and follow through with attendance at, applicable trade shows, code-making bodies, marketing groups and industry associations, including significant specification efforts
- Refine ERICO's value proposition and marketing materials to drive increased interest in the NA market
- Recommend new product concepts to Development team to increase offering
Qualifications:
- Experience: minimum of 5 years technical specification sales in a field related to electrical engineering
- Education: B.S. preferred in engineering or science
- Specification sales (proven track record in growing sales and market share)
- Strategic planning (proven experience in presenting and implementing successful new business ideas and plans)
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
- Strong communication skills, both written, verbal and presentation
- International experience and cross-cultural awareness
- At least 2 years experience selling into the wind and solar industries in the U.S. preferred
- 50% travel, which may occasionally include international travel
