Renewable Energy Investment Banker

We are a relatively small and new investment bank/capital advisory firm that has a large pipeline of deals in the energy sector. We have an immediate need for structured finance professionals to assist in our growth.

Position Overview:

Looking for individuals (managing directors, associates and analysts) who have experience building teams, building businesses, structuring deals and who wish to be compensated accordingly.

You must be a highly motivated, dynamic and an aggressive sales person who has the ability to structure deals and raise capital.

Self-Starter who can work on own projects independently and expected to leverage existing relationships for additional business opportunities

Responsibilities:

• Ability to originate, negotiate and structure renewable energy projects (solar, wind, waste-to-energy, cogeneration) with a variety of project financing structures such as: leveraged leases, partnership flips and others.
• Superior Knowledge on complex cash-flow models and the structuring of transactions for Energy Projects, Alternative Investments, Equipment, Asset Based Transactions & Corporate Debt.
• Assisting in the development & drafting of Private Placements, credit memos and offering memoranda
• Ability to performing in-depth due diligence
• Structure complex cash-flow models
• Sourcing of Capital through direct relationships with institutional investors and broker-dealers (must have large database of pre-established relationships)
• Interface with lenders, investors, sponsors, lawyers, and all relevant parties during the execution process, to facilitate the final closing of deals. Also includes the negotiation of credit agreements and all other related loan documentation.
• Experienced and knowledgeable in regards to legal aspects of the transactions
• Develop and maintain a strong investor and client database
• Coordinate project financing events with banks, institutional investors, attorneys, developers and other related entities throughout the process

Qualifications:

• 4 Year Degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Economics or related field preferred
• Advanced Degree Preferred (CFA first choice, MBA second)
• Series 7 and 63 Preferred; not required
• 6+ Years in Financial Modeling, Project Finance, Private Placements, Leasing, Cash-Flow/Fixed Income Lending at investment bank, broker-dealer or placement agent
• Mastery of corporate finance and valuation principals including discounted cash flow analysis, multiples & comps, P/E and EPS, etc.
• Solid understanding of cash tax and GAAP fundamentals as applied to the power industry.
• Excellent PC skills (MS Word, Outlook, Excel) and related financial technology
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Must possess a highly entrepreneurial spirit
• Be a team player
• Have the ability to multitask and perform any duty required to launch the structured lending team in a successful way
