Job Summary:

This position will be responsible for researching state and federal policies and incentives associated with the energy development industry sector.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Performs research and industry analysis on energy projects including but not limited to research associated with various Federal and State acts and regulations, understating and translating the various items on the ballot with state utilities; determining population sizes of a given area within a 45-mile radius, etc.
• Assists the project team with project development activities for energy development projects
• Reviewing Request for Proposal (“RFP”) documents for renewable energy projects
• Assisting in the preparation of bid packages in response to RFPs
• Performs other duties as required and assigned

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Must be passionate about energy development
• Attention to detail skills
• Excellent internet research skills
• Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
• Technical Writing - Communicating effectively in writing and conveying complex information as appropriate for the needs of the audience
• Judgement and Decision Making - Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one
• Inductive Reasoning - The ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (includes finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events)

Education / Experience:

• Pursuing a degree in energy development, law, real estate or related field preferred
• A junior, senior or graduate level student is a plus
