Excelsior Design specializes in providing a full range of professional/technical staff augmentation placement services, in addition to payroll services on an as-needed basis.

Position Overview:

Excelsior Design has an exciting Reliability Engineering opportunity for a leading producer in the renewable energy sector. The Senior Reliability Engineer, specializing in Rotating Equipment, will provide integrity and reliability management support for the operation and maintenance of rotating equipment for all REC Silicon plants and facilities.

This is a full-time direct hire position in central Washington state.

Responsibilities:

  • Required to work on site
  • Design and implement an integrated reliability and mechanical integrity program for REC Silicon rotating equipment
  • Provide support for design and construction activities to ensure reliability is built into rotating equipment for new and replacement installations
  • Provide technical expertise, guidance, program direction and data analysis for the mechanical Integrity and reliability technicians and the plant inspectors.
  • Mentor and provide technical support to the production engineers
  • Proactively identify cost savings and downtime reduction opportunities
  • Lead/participate in root cause analyses to identify and eliminate failure modes
  • Proactively improve rotating equipment reliability
  • Use asset utilization data to prioritize resource allocation
  • Work in cross functional teams to resolve issues
  • Oversee rotating equipment issues throughout REC as the lead technical resource
  • Develop preventative maintenance schedules, procedures, and programs using RCM methodology
  • Develop and maintain documents on rotating equipment

Qualifications:

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years experience in maintenance, mechanical integrity and/or reliability fields for rotating equipment
  • Knowledge of rotating equipment such as compressors, turbines, and pumps
  • Proficient in Root Cause Failure Analysis methodologies
  • Proficient and experienced in reliability and mechanical integrity systems and programs
