Reliability Coordinator

Position Overview:

ALLETE Renewable Resources, Inc. is seeking qualified applicants for a Reliability Coordinator.

Responsibilities:

• Responsibilities include supporting the successful construction and subsequent operation/maintenance of facilities associated with the ALLETE/Minnesota Power Bison wind project.
• Responsible for providing direct hands on maintenance services and for providing leadership, direction, supervision and training to support wind generation and other renewable generation operations.
• Candidate will be responsible for directing work and completing performance reviews on staff.
• Will be directly involved in decisions regarding hiring/firing and disciplinary actions.
• Has direct responsibility for operational issues, including maintenance of all equipment and performing facility analysis to identify and resolve problems to avoid failure modes.
• Develops and implements procedures to be used by employees and contractors to safely perform maintenance duties. Responsible for assuring compliance with safety, environmental, and maintenance requirements.
• Assists in development of long-term plans and budgets.
• High degree of communication and interpersonal skills required to establish and maintain relationships with contractors, regulatory agencies and various internal departments.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in engineering, industrial technology, business administration, management or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of field experience in construction, operations and/or maintenance of energy production facilities, or wind generation.
• Must maintain a valid driver's license.
• Position is located near New Salem, ND at the ALLETE Renewable Resources, Inc. Bison I Wind Construction Project. Additional travel may be required.
