Position Overview:

The Climate Corporation seeks a driven and entrepreneurial Regional Sales Manager (RSM), to lead a team that is revolutionizing production agriculture risk management in the key growing regions of Nebraska and the Dakotas.

Regional Sales Managers focus on the training and development of several District Sales Managers in their region. They are responsible for providing direction to their sales team with territory planning, insurance agent identification, strategic accounts recruiting, agency training, and overall regional success. The position requires intensive interaction with the District Sales Managers, their prospective and appointed agents and their grower clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Aid District Sales Managers to identify, recruit, and qualify the best agents in their territory.
  • Assist sales team with a targeted approach to selling, channel enablement and relationship management.
  • Provide field training which consists of but not limited to; territory management, agent recruitment, call lists and cold calling, agent and grower sales presentations, agent/agency trainings.
  • Participate in new DSM recruiting, training, and mentoring.


Requirements:

  • Knowledge of production agriculture, especially corn, soybean and wheat production- must be credible in front of growers.
  • 5-10 years work experience with a proven track record in an ag related company or organization.
  • 2+ years sales management experience with a proven ability to lead by example and increase sales in given region.
  • Aptitude to master value based selling and communication of TWI's value proposition.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills as well as the enthusiasm to champion a new product.
  • Must become insurance licensed, or already possess a standard P&C State insurance license.
  • Ability to travel. Requires working from home when not in the field.
  • Strong computer and Internet knowledge; experience with Salesforce.com, GoToMeeting, and Gmail (corporate version), or the ability to quickly learn these applications.
  • Bachelor's degree required, ideally in Agri-Business, Ag Economics, Agronomy or Ag Sciences.
