World Centric, a green enterprise in Palo Alto, California, has an immediate opening for a Regional Sales Manager, covering the South West region. The candidate would be ideally located in the Los Angeles/San Diego metropolitan areas.
World Centric sells compostable food service products as a replacement for Styrofoam and plastic disposables. It is also a B-Corp, offsets all carbon emissions and gives at least 25% of profits to grassroot organizations.
Position Overview:
The Regional Sales Manager would be responsible for growing product sales in the South West, through distribution, brokers and strategic end accounts. Apart from working with distribution, strong experience in specific trade channel(s) is a big plus - e.g. Colleges & Universites, QSR, B&I, Lodging etc.
Ability to handle details, processes and be concise and thorough is required. A passion and commitment to making a positive environmental and social change in the world is required.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a sales strategy plan for the South West region.
- Grow product sales across multiple channels, identify and develop new end accounts and distribution points.
- Retain and grow existing accounts, maintaining excellent levels of communication and service.
- Recruit and manage brokers
- Work with the supply chain team to ensure accurate forecasting.
- Use internal processes/ERP system to enter leads, opportunities, forecasts, tasks and sales activities.
- Monitor and keep abreast on market conditions and events, customer's issues and competitive intelligence
- Attend events & trade-shows, customer related meetings and give presentations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years experience, with demonstrated success in sales.
- Experience in the foodservice industry with distribution and working with end accounts. Experience in disposables/packaging a plus.
- Proven broker management experience.
- Proven customer relationship & organizational skills with the ability to detailed, concise and thorough.
- Excellent interpersonal communication, negotiation and sales skills
- Excellent writing, speaking, and presentation skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and become knowledgeable of products in a short time
- Experience with CRM, leads/sales management systems.
Compensation: Compensation is dependent on experience and will be a combination of base + bonus.
