Sumec North America, Phono Solar Technology division is seeking a Regional Sales Manager for the Midwest and /or East Coast.
Position Overview:
Duties include analyzing the overall regional market and channel opportunities for Phono Solar brand PV Modules, then coordinating and successfully executing a focused business plan. Reports to the Vice President Sales.
Responsibilities:
Direct the sales initiatives for the specific region to achieve targeted sales volume at the target average selling price (ASP). Become the lead advocate for Phono Solar Brand PV Modules with commercial and residential installers/ integrators. Understand the nature of PV and present a full range of options to best meet the needs of the Phono Solar customer.
Develop and coordinate strategies to maximize sales volume within the assigned region and in lock step with NA Strategy. Retrieves, consolidates and strives to continuously improve monthly sales forecast. Prepare deal overviews and contract summaries for Executive Team. Independently seek out and develop new business contacts and customers. Provide regular reporting on sales activities and trends in the marketplace. Build and maintain a database for customer records and contact history.
Ability to travel within region, national trade shows and periodic international travel required.
Qualifications:
BA required (technical discipline is preferred), MBA or Marketing background desired. At least 5 years of progressive sales responsibility in the solar industry 10 years of work experience in a senior sales role delivering on or exceeding revenue goals.
Proven track record in new business acquisition, business development and account management. Demonstrated ability to be creative and think outside the box in terms of deal structure and framework.
Strong organizational and communication skills required. Excellent presentation and negotiation skills required Proactive, able to work independently with strong time management skills. Proven ability to operate effectively in a fast paced, start up in which cross- functional teamwork and initiative is a must. Computer skills - Must be strongly proficient in MS Office and have familiarity with CRM systems.
