Description

The Marine Stewardship Council's (MSC) vision is for the world’s oceans to be teeming with life, and seafood supplies safeguarded for this and future generations.  Through our internationally recognised certification and ecolabeling program, well-managed sustainable fisheries are recognised and rewarded in the marketplace, through the leadership of our partners.

Over 400 fisheries around the world, representing more than 17% of the annual global marine catch, are now engaged in the MSC program and MSC certified and labelled seafood products are now available in over 100 countries.

Do you want to help staff be more efficient and adopt new technologies?

Do you want to help staff get the best out of the technology available to them?

Summary

If you love learning new technology, helping others learn it and use it effectively to improve processes within their teams, then this opportunity is for you.

MSC is investing in digital technology to allow us to scale up our processes effectively. In the last few years, we have released several new systems including a CRM, an objective setting and monitoring tool and this recruitment platform you’re using now!

With our changing technology landscape and the 100s of Software as a Service (SaaS) changes which companies push out, MSC has also invested in roles situated around the globe to work with staff from all areas of the business and help them utilise the platforms available to them. This is one of those four key roles and whilst based in the US to work alongside our Americas regional staff, you will be part of our global IT team and will play a significant role in bridging the gap between central IT and business needs.

The heart of this role combines training with business process analysis to help teams learn new tools and transfer business processes across to the online tools.

Responsibilities

The Regional Digital Analyst will support MSC staff across their region to adopt and utilise the digital tools relevant to those teams, therefore this role requires a broad understanding of how the different teams within the MSC work and how to best support them with the different technologies available. You might one day be helping the marketing team get the best out of Google Analytics and the next working with an Office Manager to test hot desking software.

Qualifications

The key skills we are looking for in a candidate are: a natural aptitude for learning new technologies, experience training staff in using and adopting technology, the ability to capture and understand business processes and help teams find efficiencies, and finally we are looking for someone with a keen interest in data.

Whilst all RDAs at their heart have the same core role within their region, we also look for each one to lead in certain aspects on behalf of the team. For this role we would be looking for someone who can also take responsibility for great data in our CRM.

If this has inspired you, please apply here, we look forward to hearing from you!

Note: Applications closing date is 22 Sep 2021.

The MSC is committed to the principles of equality and fairness and we welcome applications from all communities. We do not discriminate on the grounds of age, ethnicity, race, colour, religion or belief, gender or gender identity, sexual orientation or disability.  If you consider yourself to have a disability and need reasonable adjustments made during the recruitment and selection process, please let us know how we can help you
