Recovery Act Team Members and Leader

Looking for a meaningful experience that will enhance your leadership skills and benefit the environment? Interested in being part of a restoration team for 6 months in Oregon's beautiful backcountry?

Position Overview: 

Become an NWSA member with our Recovery Act Team, and here's what awaits you:

• Serving with 6 teammates on a variety of environmental and conservation service projects in some of the most beautiful and rugged natural areas in Oregon.
• Camping for up to 10 days at a time while performing trail work, environmental restoration and fuels reduction work - you will be trained to operate chainsaws and power tools.
• Fine tuning leadership skills in project management, team building and communication.

Position starts April 12. 

Qualifications: 

Must be an Oregon resident; 21-24 years of age; able to commit to the full term of service.

Compensation: Benefits include a monthly stipend of $1,005 (before taxes), health insurance, a $2,362.50 AmeriCorps education scholarship, loan forbearance, childcare allowance and many training opportunities.
