~ NMR provides evaluation services for administrators of energy-efficiency and renewable energy programs, helping clients not only evaluate these programs but also assess the complex markets in which the programs operate. ~
We provide clients with the research-based information and insights needed to help them focus program efforts based on the realities of the market, to measure the impacts of energy-efficiency and renewable energy programs, and to provide strategic guidance for improving program design and delivery.

Position Overview
NMR has an open Quantitative Analyst position, and seeks to hire an individual possessing the knowledge, skills, and abilities typically gained through doctoral-level graduate education or prior work in economics, statistics, or other mathematical fields - or possibly a master’s degree plus relevant work experience.
Qualifications
- We prefer candidates with experience addressing energy-related concerns, and also candidates who understand the principles and practices of program impact evaluation, but will consider candidates with relevant skills and expertise gained in other fields.
- Experience with complex sample designs and weighting, along with survey design, implementation, and analysis are also valuable but not essential. While most work will be quantitative, we also value the willingness and ability to conduct broad, mixed-methods research.
Experience & Skills required include:
- Proficiency with very large datasets
- Considerable experience developing quantitative models
- Ability to perform descriptive quantitative analyses using Stata, SPSS, R or similar data analysis packages
- Facility in writing clear and concise research summaries

Compensation and Location: We offer generous benefits as well as the possibility of telecommuting depending on experience (travel to our Somerville, MA offices would be required a few times per year).
