The District of Columbia Sustainable Energy Utility (DC SEU) was created to design, develop, and deliver energy efficiency and renewable energy services to District households, businesses, and institutions. We are committed to delivering these services by recruiting, hiring, and training
local District residents.
Position Overview:
The Project Specialist manages energy efficiency, renewable energy, and energy conservation projects in either commercial, institutional or residential housing projects. Focus could include low-income commercial and residential projects. Provides project management including energy analyses and recommendations, review of construction documents, drafting of specifications, review and recommendations of qualified contractors, project implementation, resident education, and final inspections. Position may be responsible for Account Management with
Commercial/Institutional customers during early stages of start-up.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, environmental science, or business or a similar combination of education and experience. Extensive experience with substantive elements of commercial/institutional, residential and/or multifamily/low-income energy efficiency program implementation, including energy analysis, customer service, data tracking and reporting, program design and cost-effectiveness screening. Knowledge of relevant codes and standards for the District of Columbia.
