Background:
Public Affairs Management, a leading CA Public Involvement and Environmental Planning firm is seeking a Project Manager to manage public education, public involvement and consensus-building activities for its Sacramento office.
Public Affairs Management (PAM) is a woman-owned consulting firm specializing in environmental communication and environmental planning. The firm assists federal, state, regional, and local agencies as well as private sector clients throughout California and the United States. PAM helps clients communicate effectively with affected communities and regulatory agencies during planning, design, and construction of major land use, natural resources, and infrastructure projects. We develop and implement public education, public involvement, and consensus-building strategies to achieve our clients project and organizational goals.
Duties:
Candidate will be responsible for project oversight, staff management and development, and marketing/business development activities for the Sacramento office.
Qualifications:
- Position requires consulting, project management, and marketing/business development experience along with a broad knowledge of California environmental issues including water resources, transportation, natural resources, utilities, and land use planning.
- The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of experience managing public education and involvement efforts on environmental issues;
- a strong knowledge of California water, transportation, and land use issues;
- consulting experience with public and private sector clients, and experience in marketing consulting services.
- Requires a degree in communications or related field, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Experience with consensus-building strategies is highly desirable.
