Project Manager, Sustainability

Position Overview 

Mosaic Labs, a sustainability services firm based in Boulder, Colorado, seeks a Project Manager to join our team. The position will work to manage a broad range of projects and project teams, complete related tasks, and deliver results. Projects vary in scope, length, and complexity and are focused primarily on measuring and analyzing environmental performance across companies and supply chains.

This role requires an experienced project manager who enjoys working with internal and external customers, solving complex sustainability challenges, performing deep analysis, and using technology to facilitate solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Manage sustainability projects involving globally distributed, interdisciplinary teams. Develop and execute on project plans and manage company resources, teams and tasks to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in scope.

• Provide outstanding service delivery on consultative research projects to large multinational corporations. This will include providing insights and recommendations based on an analysis of the environmental performance of companies, their supply chains, and products using environmental impact measurement tools, customized technology, and other primary and secondary data sources.

• Communicate the results of projects to clients at a senior executive level. Represent Mosaic Labs at all kickoff, project, and results delivery meetings. 

Qualifications  

Required Skills & Experience: 

• Understanding of business and how sustainability can be integrated into corporate decision-making related to procurement, marketing, risk management, stakeholder relations, environmental reporting, and product and supply chain optimization.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills are a must. Particularly important is the ability to articulate complex topics in an easy-to-understand manner to diverse audiences.
• Minimum of 5+ years professional work experience, ideally in project management and/or consulting.
• Ability to analyze and draw conclusions from large data sets, synthesizing information and business insights to provide recommendations to clients.
• Mosaic Labs relies heavily on technology for all project tasks. Complete fluency with basic software (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and functionality (webinars, internet research, etc.) is a must.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment with tight deadlines, uncertain outcomes, and the need for complex problem solving.
• Highly collaborative, flexible, intelligent. 

Other Desired Experience: 

• Database and/or web development experience.
• Data science, database analytics, and/or business intelligence software (e.g., Tableau) experience.
• Environmental measurement and management systems, assurance, sustainable supply chains, integrated reporting, carbon accounting, life cycle analysis, risk management, and modelling technique experience highly preferred.
