Position Overview

Sanborn Head is seeking an environmental engineer or hydrogeologist to join our Concord, NH office. Responsibilities

  • Perform environmental investigations at sites with soil, groundwater, and soil vapor contamination;
  • Collect, interpret, and analyze various types of field data;
  • Perform environmental due diligence assessments;
  • Conduct groundwater fate and transport calculations and computer modeling exercises;
  • Assist project managers in developing recommendations for environmental strategies, remedial alternatives, and remediation designs;
  • Design and implement remediation systems;
  • Prepare technical reports, permit applications, and bid documents; and
  • Engage in industrial compliance projects.

Qualifications

  • Interested candidates should have 0-3 years of experience and possess a BS Degree (MS preferred) in civil or environmental engineering or hydrogeology, with the ability to demonstrate a strong record of academic achievement or professional experience in relevant areas such as contaminated site investigations, remediation, and/or preparation of plans and specifications;
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, databases, and various air/water modeling skills are beneficial. Excellent verbal communication, analytical, and technical writing skills are essential.
  • A strong attention to detail is required;
