Position Overview
The main objective for this role is to manage and successfully deliver software implementation projects by effective scoping, planning, internal and external communications (written and oral), resource management, proactive risk management, budget management and evaluation.
Responsibilities
Key Tasks and Deliverables:
- Create and deliver project work plans and revise regularly to meet changing needs and requirements, ensuring full and timely communication to stakeholders (internal and external);
- Identify resources and assign responsibilities, reflecting these clearly in the project plans in a reportable form to
facilitate capacity planning
- Manage day-to-day operational aspects of the project(s) to ensure an effective project delivery to the customer's satisfaction and within scope;
- Ensure project documents are complete, current, and appropriately stored and communicated;
- Work closely with relevant stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient implementation of the project(s). Negotiate
and manage resource effectively, particularly where there are conflicting deadlines;
- Understand basic revenue models and Profit/Loss;
- meet project financial objectives by forecasting requirements;
- understand and manage the project budget;
- schedule expenditures; and
- analyse variances and initiate corrective actions.
- Analyse, manage and escalate any risks before and during the project so that they can be effectively managed or mitigated.
- Submit project status reports to stakeholders (internal and external); review actions and progress these with resources regularly.
Qualifications
Personal Qualities:
- Active listening abilities;
- Agile and effective analysis and decision making skills;
- Strong interpersonal communication - written and oral;
- Proven ability in project and resource management;
- Excellent personal time management;
- At least 2 years' experience of delivering multiple concurrent projects, on time and budget, preferably in a B2B environment;
- A proven track record of achieving deadlines, and managing all aspects of a project from definition to delivery;
- Excellent organisational and scheduling skills;
- Preferable but not essential if mitigated by other proven experience: Qualified and effective in the use of Prince 2 or equivalent methodology; and
- A technical or sustainability background is not essential.
