GeoGlobal Energy LLC (GGE) is a privately-held geothermal company focused on the worldwide development and acquisition of geothermal resources to generate base load, renewable, low-carbon electricity to meet the growing global need. GGE's experience covers all aspects of geothermal power exploration, development and operations. The company has offices in the Washington, DC area and Santa Rosa, California, in addition to field offices in Santiago, Chile and Munich, Germany.
Position Overview:
This position is within the Engineering and Construction Department, which is responsible for geothermal power plants, transmission lines, and the site infrastructure to support drilling. The position will primarily focus on project development with some support of operating power plants.
The Project Engineer will be responsible for engineering tasks related to the conceptual design and specification of power plant and transmission line systems, including permitting support. In addition, the Project Engineer will support the geothermal drilling program by performing or overseeing the engineering of roads, drilling locations, work camps, water supply systems, temporary power systems, warehouses, and other related infrastructure.
The Project Engineer will also assist with project management tasks including budgeting, scheduling, and reporting. A moderate to high level of Spanish fluency would be a plus. Coordination with internal and external resources will be a key element of this position.

Responsibilities:
The objectives of the position are:
- Perform/oversee engineering tasks to support the conceptual design and specification of the geothermal power plant and transmission line.
- Perform/oversee engineering tasks related to site infrastructure to support the drilling program.
- Assist in project scoping and planning.
- Assist with project management, including cost estimating and scheduling.
- Provide engineering support of operating geothermal power plants.
Qualifications:
- BS or MS degree in the field of engineering, preferably mechanical or civil.
- At least 5 years direct engineering work experience, preferably in design engineering, construction engineering, and/or startup.
- Professional Engineer's License, preferred.
- Experience with the energy industry (geothermal, other power plants, oil & gas) or mining. Experience in successful geothermal development projects is preferred.
- Proficient with AutoCAD.
- Proficient with project management software, such as MS Project or Primavera
- A moderate to high level of Spanish fluency would be a plus.
- Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Location: Chevy Chase, MD with frequent travel to job sites and offices in the US, Chile, and Germany.
