Description
Energy/Environmental consulting firm seeks Project Engineer to promote improved building energy performance in the public institution/K-12 school sector.
Responsibilities include forging contacts and relationships within the public institution/K-12 school sector, providing building audit services, developing comprehensive audit reports that prescribe building improvement recommendations and providing installation support services during project planning and implementation.
Below is a list of essential duties and responsibilities, but other duties may be assigned.
- Serve as a technical resource for the California team in support of the School Energy Efficiency (SEE) Program.
- Conduct field energy audits, develop site-specific energy audit reports and review report recommendations with SEE Program participants.
- Communicate the engineering and technical aspects of building improvement measures to government and school district personnel.
- Provide district technical energy efficiency training and support to encourage the development and implementation of comprehensive building improvement upgrade projects.
- Provide technical and project management support during project implementation.
- Develop and maintain relationships with the energy efficiency industry, utilities and other program stakeholders by participating in industry-related events and meetings.
- Assist in fostering a stakeholder and service provider network for sector-specific activities.
- Help develop, maintain and provide marketing materials for internal and external use (website info, stock presentations, brochures, fliers, etc).
- Communicate program to target market through meetings, presentations, events, and tradeshows.
This is a full time position in the Half Moon Bay office that requires a willingness to travel, ability to multitask, positive attitude, personable, and technical aptitude in the building science sector.
Ideal candidate is a self-starter, driven to achieve excellence in every task, able to work independently and collaborate in teams, and has a demonstrated ability to forge strategic partnerships. Strong presentation and writing skills are essential. Requires an engineering degree with a Professional Engineering license and 5 or more years of experience in engineering, building science, and/or energy efficiency.
