Project Director of Eating Green


Job Description:


Director of Eating Green Project sought for national consumer-health advocacy group. This is an exciting opportunity for someone motivated to improve the publics health and the environment by advocating for a more plant-based diet through policy change and public education. Strong knowledge of food and farm policies, demonstrated concern about health and the environment, and 5-10 years related experience with nonprofit advocacy organizations or government required. Degree in law, agriculture, or public policy preferred.


The Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI) is an aggressive non-profit consumer organization conducting innovative programs in nutrition, alcohol, food safety, and other issues. CSPI publishes Nutrition Action Healthletter, one of the nation's largest-circulation health newsletter. CSPI provides useful, objective information to the public, represents citizens' interests before legislative, regulatory, and judicial bodies, and ensures that advances in science are used for the public's good. CSPI is supported by 800,000 members nationwide and foundation grants.
