Third Planet Windpower is a leading wind energy company seeking experienced wind project engineers.
Position Overview:
Third Planet has an immediate need for a seasoned Project Development Engineer in its regional Cheyenne, WY office and in its San Ramon, CA corporate office.
The successful candidates will be responsible for leading engineering efforts for projects in the development region and will work closely with the Project Developer, the Director, Engineering and the Director, Project Construction as well as with third party engineering firms assigned to consult on specific aspects of the development projects.
Responsibilities:
Activities will include selection and management of engineering consultants engaged in fatal flaw studies, project design and engineering of wind power projects, the development of interconnection strategies and the execution of same, the design of collection systems, and other technical matters, determination of met mast locations and erection, and various other electrical, mechanical and civil engineering responsibilities associated with each project.
Requirements:
We are seeking candidates with a minimum of 10 years experience as a project engineer. Preference will be given to those with specific wind and other energy related experience. The candidates are expected to have a degree in engineering from a respected engineering school and a passion for renewable energy.
The right person is self motivated, multi-disciplined, highly organized, detail oriented and works well in a team environment where we work hard and play hard. Preference will be given to local candidates in Cheyenne and San Ramon.
