Project Controller

Abengoa Solar Inc. is a company focused on the design, manufacture, construction and operation of large-scale solar process heat and solar electric power plants. We are located in Lakewood, CO, 10 minutes west of Denver.

At Abengoa Bioenergy, we hold as our primary objective to become a reference as a world leader in the production of biofuels, and the development of innovative technological solutions that contribute to the sustainability of the transportation sector and in the production of bio-based chemicals.

Abengoa is currently looking for a Project Controller.

Responsibilities:

Generally, the title encompasses a variety of responsibilities from overseeing accounting and monitoring internal controls to countersigning on expenses, commitments and prepare financial reports.

This candidate will direct and coordinate the accounting , budgeting and other financial operations of assigned area / project. Includes providing administrative and technical supervision to staff personnel. Preparing financial reports, budgets, cost reports and financial forecasts on a regular basis.

Monitor the financial operations of the company or assigned area to ensure compliance with budgets. Oversee the preparation of required Federal and State financial reports as well as financial and related reports to the Chief Financial Officer and / or Corporate Executives. Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget.

Qualifications:

This candidate must have excellent communication skills, strong software knowledge and 2-5 years experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position. Strong supervisory skills are needed. They need to be knowledgeable about company procedures and compliance issues. The financial controller position requires a Bachelor's degree in either accounting or finance.
