Description
The Student Conservation Association (SCA), the nation's leading conservation service organization for young people, is seeking a Program Manager for SCA's Restoration Corps Program located in Yucca Valley, CA. The Program Manager will oversee all operational and administrative aspects of a number of teams located at various sites in the Mojave and Sonoran deserts of CA.
The Program Manager will oversee program development and implementation, evaluation, risk assessment and management, budget management and logistical coordination. Program Manager will also provide support and assistance to field staff on outreach projects, environmental education, intern management and agency relations.
Qualifications include:
BA/BS in Environmental Education/Science or related field, or equivalent field experience, and 3 years of progressively responsible program management experience. Strong communications and computer skills, working knowledge of GIS/GPS. Willingness to travel on a regular basis. Current WFR and CPR certification. Valid drivers license and MVR that meets SCA's guidelines. Must pass SCA criminal background check.
