~ Enterprise's New York-based Technical Service team provides high-quality, low-volume building science and construction monitoring services to affordable housing projects in New York City. ~
These services range from providing energy audits, capital needs assessments, construction scopes & specifications, and construction monitoring services for individual buildings, to broad-scale planning & implementation of energy efficient retrofits for large owners of affordable housing portfolios.

Position Overview
The Program Director will bring an expert level of knowledge in the management of energy and water conservation programs and their implementation in affordable housing projects. S/He will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of our growing production team. S/He will oversee the team's production, which consists of energy and water-related projects performed by Enterprise staff and consultants in the New York Market.
The position is based in New York and reports to the Director of Technical Services.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the Technical Services team: scheduling, budget tracking, project management, communication with client, and reporting on performance metrics
- Supervise staff on the production team: Program Officer(s), Program Associate(s) and interns
- Support execution of Enterprise's environmental commitment to lead the field in greening all affordable housing by 2020
- Support implementation of Enterprise Green Communities Certifications in New York
- May lead proposal writing efforts in coordination with the Director of Technical Services
- Provide special assistance to the Director of Technical Services as needed
- Able to travel out of town several times per year to visit local office staff and sites, meet with partners and customers, and attend meetings and conferences.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree with a graduate degree preferred and at least eight (8) years of related experience in the affordable housing field. Prior experience in the management of energy efficiency projects is required.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage projects and staff and work effectively as part of a team and across Enterprise NY Market.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment, often under stringent deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to coordinate complex activities, prioritize conflicting demands and meet deadlines.
- Must be highly motivated, be able to work independently, solve problems and possess strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong computer skills, thorough knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook is preferred.
