Program Director

The Massachusetts Smart Growth Alliance is a joint project of Boston Society of Architects--Civic Initiative, Citizens' Housing and Planning Association, Conservation Law Foundation, Environmental League of Massachusetts, Fair Housing Center of Greater Boston, and Metropolitan Area Planning Council.

Duties:
We are seeking a motivated, highly organized person to coordinate and implement smart growth advocacy, outreach and fundraising programs conducted by an alliance of six Massachusetts organizations.

Qualifications:
We are looking for someone with the following qualifications:

• Interest and experience in public policy advocacy;  
• Proven experience dealing with a range of issues;  
• Knowledge of the state house and state agencies;  
• Excellent written and oral communications skills;  
• Ability to think and act strategically;  
• Familiarity with smart growth related issues;  
• Ability to work with mulitiple organizations, but also to be self-starter, and work independently.  
• Masters degree in relevant field or five years working experience preferred.  
• Fundraising experience desired.  
• Salary: $50s w/ benefits.
