Description

Consortium for Energy Efficiency (CEE) is an award-winning consortium of energy efficiency program administrators from across the United States and Canada that unifies program approaches across jurisdictions to increase impact in fragmented markets.

Position Overview:

The Consortium for Energy Efficiency (CEE) is seeking an individual to join its industrial team as a Program Associate. The successful candidate will play an integral role in achieving CEE member goals in the industrial sector by supporting current CEE industrial initiatives and the Motor Decisions MatterSM Campaign

Motor Decisions Matter (MDM) is a national awareness campaign sponsored by CEE members, electric motor industry professionals, manufacturers, and others to promote the benefits of motor management and planning to commercial and industrial customers. MDM supports CEE member industrial programs by promoting motor management via:

  • Calculation and concept tools that identify fundamental motor management concepts and perform simplified calculations of life cycle cost analysis.
  • Webcasts that describe motor management and demonstrate how to use MDM tools to calculate and communicate motor management and life cycle cost analysis.
  • A library of resources on relevant topics such as: energy legislation, motor repair, motor selection, and energy management

Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility is to support the administrative and development needs of the MDM campaign on behalf of the sponsors, including:

  • Work with industrial team to execute the tasks and deliverables outlined in the industrial sector work plans and the MDM Business Plan. This work includes conducting secondary research and writing trade press articles, case studies, and newsletter content.
  • Work with industrial team to maintain and enhance the CEE Industrial Sector web-pages and MDM website to ensure that they are accurate, easy-to-use, reflect current information and facilitate achieving the intended goals and objectives.
  • Develop a system to capture and update technical and market information relevant to CEE member efficiency programs, CEE Industrial Initiatives, and the MDM Campaign.
  • Identify and maintain metrics to evaluate the CEE Industrial sector and MDM Campaign's success in achieving stated objectives, including web-based statistics and other metrics.
  • Additional support for CEE industrial committees.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • An undergraduate degree and 1-2 years of employment experience in a relevant field
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to a nontechnical audience
  • Proficiency with web site development and maintenance (e.g. familiarity with html and java)
  • Ability to manage workload across multiple projects and deadlines
  • Experience conducting primary and secondary research (energy efficiency industry and/or industrial sector experience is preferred but not required)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Willingness to travel domestically: approximately one trip per quarter, with the potential for additional travel
