Position Summary

Manomet has an immediate opening in our Sustainable Economies Program for a talented and entrepreneurial Program Associate.  

The Program Associate will be a key contributor to sales and outreach for our cutting-edge small business benchmarking and sustainable grocer certification projects. The Program Associate will also contribute to the business development and implementation of other sustainability projects. The position is based in beautiful downtown Brunswick, ME and reports to the Senior Program Manager. The position offers high visibility and growth opportunity. 

Responsibilities  

Essential Functions 

• Produce client-ready project proposals.
• Develop other marketing collateral as needed.
• Manage and coordinate client and outreach communications through all phases of the sales cycle.
• Coordinate client deliverables and manage timelines.
• Maintain and analyze program sales data to measure the effectiveness of implemented strategies.
• Implement digital and social media strategies in coordination with program managers and communications team.
• Research industry trends that impact our program.
• Coordinate and participate in marketing events (trade shows, conferences, etc.).
• Other program administrative duties as assigned. 

Qualifications 

• The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in business sustainability:
• High comfort with digital media; and 
• Be a self-starter and flexible team player. 

Additional qualifications: 

• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field. Advanced degree a plus.
• Minimum three years' work experience in a business development or marketing role with client-facing responsibility. Experience in consulting, retail or the food industry is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills with the demonstrated ability to write crisply and clearly for sales and marketing collateral.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse staff and clientele and to interact effectively with all levels of client contacts.
• Solid analytical skills and technical command of MS Office, WordPress, Google Analytics.
