The Trust for Conservation Innovation (TCI) helps environmental leaders fulfill their visions by providing nonprofit status and fiscal sponsorship services for innovative conservation projects.
Position Overview:
TCI is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and professional individual to join our team. As a member of the TCI team, you will become involved with conservation projects across the environmental spectrum: marine, land conservation, food systems, climate change and more. As a TCI Associate you will provide coordination and administrative support to all service areas of TCI with an emphasis on programs, communications, and marketing.
This position will work closely with the Executive Director on the management of organizational updates, orientations for new projects/employees/contractors, communications materials, website and social media maintenance. The Associate will report to the Executive Director, work closely with TCI's Accounting Manager and will interface with our project directors, their staff and other third party relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the updating of the organizational master calendar for all grants, contracts, reports, audit, tax, marketing, and key TCI meeting dates.
- Coordinate orientation materials for new projects, new employees and new contractors.
- Assist in the preparation of grant agreements, contracts and other legal documents.
- Assist in the planning and preparation of Board Meeting materials.
- Assist in the processing of invoices, receipts, timesheets and other supporting documents.
- Maintain program, administrative and communications files and documents
- Manage the production and distribution of the TCI quarterly newsletter.
- Maintain and update the TCI website working with projects, content writer, graphic design and IT professionals.
- Maintain and update TCI social media presence and all other marketing materials.
- Support Executive Director on special administrative and programmatic projects.
- Maintain excellent relationships with projects and third parties
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (writing/editing, environmental science a plus).
- 3+ years experience in administrative/office support role (communications experience preferred).
- Previous experience maintaining complex calendars and data.
- Competence in Microsoft Office applications and social media (Intermediate Excel skills a plus).
- Excellent writing and editing skills.
- Proficient when working with numbers.
- Hard working, enthusiastic, creative and detailed oriented.
- Self-starter with strong organization skills and the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Excellent personal and interpersonal communications skills.
- Good sense of humor.
Compensation: Expected start date is December 1, 2011. The Trust for Conservation Innovation offers an excellent benefits package and a competitive salary that is commensurate with experience.
