Position Overview
CEE is seeking two Program Assistants to provide cross-cutting support serving multiple corporate and program objectives. The Program Assistant position is an excellent growth opportunity for a confident individual to gain experience and perspective in a thriving, professional, non-profit.
Each Program Assistant will work as part of a small team - reporting to the Senior Manager of Program Services - and will support other staff, including the Strategic Communications Director, on specific projects.
These positions are essential to the effective functioning of the organization. We seek candidates with a service-oriented mentality, effective interpersonal and written communications, and tremendous attention to detail. Additionally, candidates who are supremely organized in their work habits, who exhibit initiative and problem-solving, and who possess a desire for continuous improvement, are sought.
We can't emphasize enough how big a role variety and dynamism play in these positions, thus the ability to manage personal workload across multiple projects and teams is paramount.
Responsibilities
Position 1
- Provide support for corporate and programmatic media, marketing, and communications efforts, relying upon graphic and web design skills.
- Provide operational support for quarterly CEE member in-person meetings, including managing attendee registrations, developing marketing materials, publishing agenda and other related information, coordinating materials preparation, and facilitating on-site execution.
- Author various communications, including meeting minutes, memorandums, newsletters, reports, training materials, announcements, and CEE Forum webpage content.
- Assist with preparation for Committee meetings and webinars as assigned, possibly including publicizing committee meetings, preparing materials for meetings and conference calls, and taking notes during meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.
Position 2
- Manage processes relating to qualifying energy efficient products, including data maintenance, user interaction, and quality assurance.
- Support annual efficiency program data collection effort, including collection, organization, and quality assurance.
- Perform administrative, research, or analysis projects for program staff to advance energy savings opportunities. Projects vary by focus area, type, recurrence, and length.
- Provide customer service to members and other stakeholders.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Position 1
- Bachelor's degree with a focus on English, communications, marketing, or graphic design.
- One to two years of work experience in a professional setting.
- Proven skills in Adobe Creative Suite and/or other visual aid programs, and an aptitude for web-based software and applications.
- Experience implementing professional events.
- Demonstrable interest in energy efficiency.
- Ability to travel to several domestic meetings per year.
Position 2
- Bachelor's degree with a focus on engineering, economics, or environmental science.
- One to two years of work experience in a professional setting.
- Experience manipulating engineering, physics, or other technical concepts in real-world applications.
- Comfort with supply-chain market mechanisms and theories.
- Demonstrable interest in energy efficiency.
- Ability to travel to several domestic meetings per year.
