Position Overview: 

To perform a variety of operational functions that constitutes the production, inspection and distribution of IceStone material in an environment of Teamwork and a process improvement mindset.

Accountable for monitoring the manufacturing activities involved in the fabrication, curing, calibration, polishing, patching and shipping processes. This position is responsible for maintaining production in accordance with engineering specifications, time schedules, expense budgets, quality standards, cost reduction goals, employee HR policy and safety.

Responsibilities:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Performs assignments in accordance with established safety policies and procedures.
  • Complies with the work rules and standards set forth in the employee handbook.
  • Supervises employees in the manufacturing process of IceStone to ensure safety, quality and productivity.
  • Managing the production schedule: setting up work schedules, conducting performance evaluations, providing coaching and training, and setting departmental expectations and goals, including KPI’s.
  • Implements existing production recipes and makes adjustments as necessary to produce product within specifications.
  • Leads team of operators in timely completion of FG inventory to ensure achievement of inventory accuracy and inventory turns objectives.
  • Calculates factors such as types and quantities of items produced, materials used, amount of scrap (yields), frequency of defects, and worker and department cycle time data, WIP Status.
  • Compiles raw material inventory records and prepares requisitions for procurement of materials and supplies.
  • Special projects as assigned by Supply Chain to help support Production floor and departmental production data needs.
  • Maintaining employees training matrix and records.
  • Writing and updating work procedures/instructions (SOP’s) and ensuring compliance to standard work.
  • Providing technical expertise and coaching to resolve any process issues, creating and ensuring the execution of appropriate corrective actions.
  • Analyzing and resolving problems at work as a fellow member of the manufacturing production crew.
  • Interpreting policies and safety guidelines of organization to workers.

Experience, Competencies and Education:

  • Bachelors degree in one of the following disciplines is preferred: Engineering, Operations Management.
  • 3-5 years production experience.
  • 3-5 years supervisor experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Computer knowledge including Excel, Word and Access.
