Position Overview:
As a well respected supplier of chemical additives to the petroleum and biofuels industries, Innospec Fuels Specialties has an exciting opportunity in Renewable Fuels Additives for a Product Sales Specialist. This entry level position will be critical in executing the sales and marketing strategies for Innospec additives into the ethanol and biodiesel markets in the US.
Position needs to be located in upper Mid-west. Ideal location would be areas surrounding Des Moines, Omaha/Council Bluffs, Sioux City, Sioux Falls or Minneapolis.
Responsibilities:
- Develop strong, trusting relationships with ethanol/biodiesel plant managers and chemical buyers to deliver sustainable long-term sales growth.
- Develop and deliver professional sales presentations which will communicate Innospec's cost effective, high quality products backed up the industry's best technical/lab department and customer resource team.
- Implement sales and marketing strategies to insure monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts are met.
- Oversee the execution and coordination of the sales process: Set up credit approval, insure accurate orders are submitted to customer service, troubleshoot sales issues with customers; track customer's purchases with previous sales history.
- Coordinate sales with customer resource staff to determine shipment schedules that would minimize transportation time and costs.
- Coordinate lab support testing with technical division.
- Maintain and manage a potential customer data based to track sales progress.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, Economics or other related field.
- 2+ years of experience in Renewable Fuels and/or a combination of other industry experience totaling 5+ years.
- Ability to make decisions, execute plans and utilize professional business intelligence is essential in this role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including effective presentation skills are critical.
- Persuasive negotiation skills.
- Results driven individual with excellent influencing skills and the ability to build strong business relationships.
- Strong sales and marketing experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel overnight primarily by automobile; approximate travel 80%.
- Excellent work ethic.
