Renewable Energy Corporation (REC) is a leading vertically integrated solar energy company.

Position Overview:

The incumbent is to be the in-house expert on Silicon Gases, and is responsible for the success and profitability of the Silicon gases portion of the organization's business. This individual represents the company and its Silane gas products to current and prospective customers as required by Field sales.  The incumbent also ensures the safety, reliability and productivity of Silicon gas product lines.  Individual is the prime person acting as a liaison between company production/tech staff and field sales/customers on the day-to-day operational aspects of the existing product lines.

Responsibilities:

  • Required to work on site
  • Assist Product Marketing Manager in planning, estimating, updating and delivering on applicable KPI's
  • Deliver periodic updates on revenue and costs including a break out of asp and volume of silane gases.
  • Provide technical support for silicon gases products
  • Ensure that we process and resolve customer complaints and inquiries in a timely manner and provides closure and customer response to CQRs
  • Sets product and use/connection specifications and provides answers or resolution to specification issues
  • Improve the Silicon gases supply chain efficiency by maximizing fill densities, initiating investigations into higher payload packages, reducing inventories, understanding value of bulk packages and thinking outside the box for other solutions.
  • Conduct periodic meetings with our customers, relative to technical exchanges, product, and contract issues
  • Manage the contracts and ensure both sides are doing what has been committed
  • Coordinate and develop pricing for products and other services associated with the Silane gases business
  • Know our customers and customer sites, our competitors and their practices, and what effectively differentiates REC Silicon from its competitors
  • Develop and maintain models of our silicon gases manufacturing and loading costs, compare these models to reality with accounting and look for areas to eliminate non value added activities
  • Manage new customer processes including data entry, specifications, packaging product qualification, and verification of the customer's ability to successfully and safely use gases products
  • Understand our relative strengths and weaknesses as compared to both competitors and customer requirements
  • Responsible for developing/obtaining sales forecasts and submitting to commercial and planning and loading operations with prioritization
  • Orchestrate commercialization of new silicon gases products.
  • Act as a go between for production and customers
  • Understand how our silicon gases are used in industry including CVD process and delivery systems. Works with Sales on generating silicon gas business quotes
  • Provide direction and facilitate developing and qualifying loading business in new facilities
  • Support business plans and manage/determine allocation of product to specific customers when necessary (along with Commercial Planning)
  • Receives customer input from customers and field sales and provides feedback to and from operations.
  • Makes daily operational decisions based on customer and operational knowledge, contractual commitments, and the REC Silicon commercial strategy
  • Develop pricing for all gases and set base pricing to Sales Manager for all Silicon gas products, customer loading or maintenance operations
  • Works with Bulk Systems Manager to implement long term product or package projects (e.g. conversion of module fleet and simultaneous conversion of customer sites for pneumatic valves)
  • Determines with the Silicon Gas Packaging Engineer and Fleet Specialist, the quantity of silicon gas packaging to order each year to meet customer demand
  • Supports Sales Force for technical product knowledge on our process and molecules
  • Work with operations to conduct FMEA's of our processes
  • Develop understanding of end user markets including Displays, Integrated Circuits, thin film solar, and glass industries
  • Ensure our processes to get products to the customers are value added

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in technical discipline and a minimum of 5 years related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to develop a strong working relationship with other areas, including all levels in the organization and external customers
  • Must pay rigorous attention to detail, be meticulous and accurate.
  • Must have knowledge of, and ability to identify and analyze market opportunities, competitive trends and practices, and specific and general customer requirements.
  • Must be able to address new situations and handle multiple tasks effectively.
  • Must be a problem solver, able to effectively predict and analyze customer and competitor issues, develop potential solutions and their effectiveness and select appropriate solutions that enhance the organization's position in the market and with its customers
  • Must have an exemplary work ethic and drive self and others until the task is complete.
  • Ability to perform complex analyses, calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume, and have demonstrated the ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Must be comfortable and proficient of Power Point and Excel
  • Must have knowledge and ability to financially analyze projects, alternatives and business/contractual options
  • Must have good written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Must be pro-active and a self-starter.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete and ambiguous variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to accurately develop and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Able to conceptualize possible business deals and/or modifications, and their impact on both the customer and REC
  • Must be ready for International and domestic travel up to 35% of the time
  • Must be able to conduct business in a global sense and taking into account international sensitivities and sensibilities

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions.  The employee is occasionally exposed to a wide range of wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, highly precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock.  The noise level in the work environments is usually moderate.  The employee will also be exposed to various physical and mental rigors brought about by different countries, cultures, food types and accepted customs

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and talk or hear.  The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance, and taste or smell.  The employee is frequently to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
